The solid base every project depends on.
Overview
A building is only ever as good as what it stands on. We dig, set out and pour foundations for new homes, extensions and outbuildings — built to the engineer's drawings and ready to take the structure above.
Connemara ground can be unpredictable: rock, peat and soft spots are all part of the job here. We prepare each site properly so foundations are accurate, well drained and built to last.
Foundations can be taken on as a standalone package or as part of a full build with us, from the ground up.
How we do it
Our foundations process

Setting out
We set the building out accurately on the ground, working from your engineer's drawings and levels.
- 02
Dig & prepare
Foundations are excavated to depth, with ground conditions checked and any soft spots dealt with.
- 03
Pour & build
Concrete is poured and rising walls built up to DPC, with drainage and ducting set in as we go.
- 04
Inspection & sign-off
Work is checked against the engineer's requirements before the next stage begins.

FAQs
Foundations questions, answered
Do you work from an engineer's drawings?
Yes. Foundations are set out and built to your engineer's specification and inspected against it. If you don't have an engineer yet, we can point you in the right direction.
What happens if you hit rock or soft ground?
It happens often on this coast. We flag it straight away, agree the best solution with you and your engineer, and only carry on once it's resolved.
Can you do the foundations and the rest of the build?
We can. Many clients have us handle everything from site clearing and foundations right through to roofing and finishes.
