Roofing

Weather-tight roofs built for the Atlantic coast.

Overview

On this coast, the roof takes everything the Atlantic can throw at it. We build and repair roofs that are made to handle it — properly structured, well detailed and weather-tight.

From new-build roofs to stripping and re-roofing tired older houses, we handle the full job: structure, felt and batten, slating or tiling, and all the fascia, soffit and guttering that goes with it.

We also take on roof repairs and storm damage — important when a single gap can let a lot of weather in.

How we do it

Our roofing process

  1. 01

    Roof assessment

We inspect the roof or review the build drawings and advise on the right approach and materials.

  2. 02

    Structure & prep

Roof structure is built or repaired, and old coverings stripped where re-roofing is needed.

  3. 03

    Cover & detail

Felt, batten and slates or tiles go on, with ridges, valleys and flashings detailed correctly.

  4. 04

    Finish & weatherproof

Fascia, soffit and guttering are fitted and the roof checked over to make sure it's weather-tight.

FAQs

Roofing questions, answered

Can you re-roof an older house?

Yes. We strip old, failing roofs and re-roof them properly — structure, underlay and a new slate or tile finish.

Do you carry out roof repairs?

We do. Repairs and storm damage are worth dealing with quickly before water gets a chance to do more harm.

What roof finishes do you offer?

Natural slate, fibre-cement slate and tiled finishes. We'll advise on what suits your home, exposure and budget.
